Vasyugan Swamp is located in western Siberia in Russia and it is considered as world’s largest swamp. It is bigger than the Switzerland, it covers the surface of 53,000 square kilometers.

It seems that there is enough demand for bells so there is an factory which makes them. The photos you are just looking at are showing the bell factory which is located in Yaroslav region in Russia. It is proudly owned by Nikolai Shuvalov who seems to enjoy doing his small business.Bells which are produced in this factory can be found almost in any part of Russia or Ukraine. They are very popular and it seems that Nikolai doesn’t have much competitors in bell-production business.

Every bell which is produced here is different and unique. They are specially decorated and most of them can be considered as a precious work of art.

Here you can see a collection of photos which were taken in an abandoned fire station and a few of abandoned neighboring buildings in Russia. We could not reveal the real name of the town where those buildings are located but that is least important now. The photos tells us a pretty sad story about those buildings where a plenty of stuff, which were left by people who were living there, can be found.

The reason why people abandoned those building is unknown but it was probably because of the search for a better life in some other more urban area.

Itelmens are not only indigenous tribe which lives in Russia but they are considered as most authentic one. Their community of about 1500 people is better educated than the other indigenous communities but their life still remains pretty primitive. This institute has a rich and famous history which starts more than hundred years ago. It was always the place of gathering of most influential oceanographists, biologists and other scientists from all around the world. Some major solutions for most common problems in oceanography and marine biology were found in this institute.

Despite it glorious past, this institute today’s practically doesn’t exist. A few of abandoned and unmaintained buildings are all what left from such glorious institute. It seems that current Russian government has more important things to finance than institutes like this one is. I just wonder is this institute a real reflection of the current Russian economy, because it seems that there is a lot of other similar abandoned facilities in Russia which have been struck by similar destiny.
