admin December 13, 2009 2

4.5 meters long, 1.8m wide and 1.5m high BMW X1 built with blocks of LEGO. This BMW replica was built by more than 800 highly enthusiastic kids between the age of 5 and 13 years. The full size BMW X1 LEGO Replica was made out of approximately 165,000 LEGO blocks; most of which were yellow for the body and silver for the windows and the bumper.

According to BMW, for each of the LEGO block used, the company will make a contribution of some amount of money to “Die Arche” children’s foundation, in Munich. The foundation is composed of children from disadvantaged backgrounds in Munich, Germany.

The kids and the BMW staff gathered to participate in the fun filled event that saw the making of the replica. The brand LEGO has been putting a smile in children’s faces through such initiatives in different countries across the world for 50 years.
